Ft. Lauderdale-based artist Marco Guzman studied art at the University of Puerto Rico
where he majored in Art History focusing on Early French Impressionism. While still in
college he had various successful shows where he showed works in pastels and mixed
media/collages. After many years away from the art scene, he has found the inspiration
(and muse) to express himself on canvas once again. Favoring the use of acrylics, his
new works range from vibrant abstracts to hard-edged, shadow-heavy portraits. His
collection can be described as a journey of self discovery, of finding out who and what
we are and if, in the grander scheme of things, it matters at all.
